Weekend in Fairport Continued

Found out the name of the park we visited in the Blog below. it was Tinker Park.  This adventure took place at Powers Farm. here you can go and meet and feed some animals. They also have this HUGE teepee that they erect and decorate the insides with different carved pumpkins. Also, they offer a Haunted Hayride as well as some goods and veggies inside.  Amongst the animals on display are some sheep, Alpacas. Shetland Pony, Burro, Peacocks, Pig, Chickens, Rabbits, and some Deer.

I will start off with the Giant Teepee.

Here is a view from the ground looking up all the way to the peek inside the teepee. All photos here were taken with a flash inside. It actually was very dark.

Weekend In Fairport

Weekend started out with a walk in a local park. We were hoping to see some deer, but with the high volume of people, that did not happen. there were plenty of squirrels running around, and did not much seem frightened of people. They just kept doing what they were doing while just keeping an eye on the humans.  Along this trail, they have boxes set up and in side are things that you might find in the woods. One such item was deer antlers. Actually, was not a full set, but was one side. Just was a pleasant walk in the woods and they also had some benches set up along the trail so that you could just sit, and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.  Here are some photos.  First two we found out, were not ghosts, but instead were some leaves that have been bleached out by the sun, just appears ghostly. Third photo is Honey showing off one of the items from the boxes along the trail.

Along the way back into the town proper, We espied some trees really in the midst of the change of colors.

As we came back into town, it happened to be the weekend of the Scarecrow Festival. each year, the local merchants on the Main St, put up Scarecrows and they are judged.  Alas, with traffic flow, there is not much opportunity to really set up the shots, so here a a good sample of what was there to see.

Lastly, one evening just before sunset, We had a visitor out the window sitting in a tree.
